While being a physiotherapist and biochemist by education, Leo’s true life work has been the foundation of PNI Europe. With the desire to leave a footprint - a clinical PNI footprint - Dr. Leo Pruimboom has fully dedicated his career to build PNI to what it is now: a strong scientific discipline with great impact and clinical relevance.
With groundbreaking research, which has caused true paradigm shifts and led to him being awarded a PhD, his work gave rise to a whole new meta-discipline. Therefore he can truly be called a pioneer. Nowadays, the study of clinical PNI is accredited by multiple universities internationally and acknowledged by several professional associations. It has an international presence in 8 countries and it is quickly growing.
His progressive view on health has led to an impressive list of scientific publications (34). He has been (co)-authoring no less than 6 books. Thereby he has been cooperating with many influential international institutes but also private projects. He has joined over 200 scientific congresses in the last 20 years and has been teaching at multiple universities. Countless individuals have been inspired by his vision and also professional sport clubs see the value in PNI and his universal health concept ‘Intermittent Living’. In the meantime an impressive list of students are following the studies of PNI in multiple countries.
